After reading the review for the Amante Restaurant and the exclusive table i decided to book a romantic meal for myself and my wife to celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary. The best way to describe the approach road up to the restaurant would be in need of repair, on arrival one is greeted with a beautiful setting overlooking the sea, very nice walkway down into the restaurant nice mixture of natural stone, glass, modern tiles and white walls unfortunately it all went down hill from here and i mean that literally. we were led down to what could only be described as a leftover tent from the Glastonbury Festival, both the table and tent very grubby and at €120 per person this was not what was expected, after a short while a very pleasant waitress arrived with the menus although she was a little bit dizzy without her friendliness the night would have been a complete disaster. After ordering from the set menu we waited for this gastronomic food to arrive, it did not, the food was very standard and seem to lack any flair from the chef. While it must be said that the rest of the restaurant looks very nice i could not recommend the Amante Table, i did bring it to the attention of the owner but he declined to lift his head from his computer and decided to leave a member of staff to deal with a disgruntled customer. If i was asked to rate this restaurant out of 10 it would be a very low 2 and this would be solely given for are friendly waitress.

I took my family to Amante in September and had a fantastic time. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. It makes a change to leave an Ibiza restaurant feeling that you got good value.

I would recommend Amante to anyone and their website is cool too (www.amanteibiza.com).
