Bombay Lounge, Ibiza Bar, Ibiza Spain
Alluring and glowing like a like a beacon in the balmy night is the amber-lit stairwell leading up into Bombay Lounge, a chic and unique addition to the Ibiza cocktail scene, where one and all are invited to visit, encouraged to stay and above all, indulged to savour...
Bombay Lounge emerged (opposite Pacha) as a sophisticated chill out bar – a calibre worthy of New York, London or any of the world’s cosmopolitan cities - last summer, after a spectacular makeover at the experienced hands of owner, Robert, known on the island for conceptualising the beach club Sol Den Serra, from 2001 to 2006.
An array of earthy warm tones, offset by soft ambient lighting and candles plus surrounded by elegantly framed exotic Indian imagery, Buddhas and clusters of plush cushions set the scene, where you may recline and settle in for the evening on a luxurious day bed or take your pick between decadent dark leather lounges and high backed chairs.
Deep house and ambient tunes softly fill the airwaves, courtesy of live DJs, without intruding on your conversation levels, making it easy to see why this venue has recently become the local’s year-round lounge bar of choice.
Pride of place at the bar goes to the intrepid cocktail menu, devised with love and passion by bartender Martin Cerny, who came to Ibiza from Prague last year, bringing with him the latest trends around the world to keep up with his globe-trotting clientele. Wasabi martinis, fresh caipirinhas, mojitos and classic daiquiris are among our favourites – keep your eyes peeled for new sensations to be unveiled soon.
Sample the Oriental influenced snacking plate - light bites deal for sharing - or satisfy a late night snack craving with a classic burger and fries served nightly until 2.30am.
Just like its exotic namesake, Bombay Lounge is a destination to be truly experienced, embraced, imbibed and enjoyed. Travel agents at the ready…
