Cala Bassa, a beach with super clear turquoise water

Cala Bassa, Ibiza, Spain

Cala Bassa boasts some of the clearest, cleanest water you'll ever see in Ibiza and the softest golden sand - it's enough to make you think you've escaped the Med (not that you'd want to!) and made it to Thailand or somewhere equally exotic. Big rock formations on either side of the beach are a constant reminder however, of the rocky and rustic terrain of Ibiza and are very popular with local fisherman and dare devil rock jumpers alike.

Across the sea you have direct views to San Antonio, a pretty, hazy white sight backed with lush green mountains - very postcard like indeed. With plenty of trees around the beach there is a lot of shade for those sensitive to sun, perfect for picnics and family days out.

Location: From Ibiza Town: 20 minute drive. From San Antonio: 10 minute drive.
