Cala De Boix

Cala de Boix

After driving through the fragrant pine forest, Cala de Boix is yet another beautiful example of Ibiza’s picturesque eastern coastline. Surrounded by rocky cliffs and trees, the pale, clear water is a striking contrast to the dark grey, pebbly sand. A great beach for snorkeling when calm and bodysurfing when the tide is up, and for consistently stunning views all the way from sunrise through until sunset.

Location: Just north of Cala Mastella.

Who goes there: This picture perfect bay is popular with luxury yacht owners by water and dedicated locals by car. It’s also a popular choice for naturists, so don’t be surprised to see nudity.

When to go:
Wait until the wind picks up in the afternoons then head to Cala de Boix for some light waves and bodysurfing action. It’s rarely crowded, so enjoy the space!

White-Escapes loves:
The feeling that you’ve made a real ‘off-the-map’ discovery once you arrive. Ditch the sun beds and set up on the shore on a big beach blanket and a picnic… old school style.

How to get there

Drive in the direction of San Carlos then follow the road towards Es Figueral. A signpost directs you to the right to Cala Boix. Car parking is available on rough ground above the bay. After parking you have to walk downwards a steep path to arrive at the beach.
From Ibiza Town: 30-minute drive. From San Antonio: 20-minute drive.
