Cala Xarraca, Ibiza beach

Cala Xarraca, Ibiza, Spain

One of our favourite beaches on the north of the island, Cala Xarraca is almost a well-kept secret... until now! The picturesque bay boasts crystal clear water and a small beach - you'll feel as though you've stumbled onto your very own private patch of Ibiza. Surrounded by lush, green forest areas and rocky pathways, you'll also find natural mud baths in the area - the perfect reason to make the pilgrimage up north.

Location:
Four kilometres north of the village of San Juan.

Who goes there:
Islanders, local families and in-the-know fisherman!

When to go: Limited parking, and limited beach space, is available so arrive as early as possible to snap up a good spot. Alternatively, wait until very late in the day – it’s magical around the sunset hour and still hot enough to keep swimming.

White-Escapes loves: The contrast of this pretty northern bay to the busy beach bars of the south. It’s the perfect hangover cure if you’ve indulged too much the night before… just peace, quiet and total relaxation.
