Ibiza Beach, Es Xarcu

Es Xarcu

As you're driving down the dirt track, the view of the surrounding cliffs, the secluded location plus the scent of the pine trees at Es Xarcu really gives a feel of being totally at one with nature. The sand here is quite rocky, however once you're in the water the seabed itself is soft - just be sure to wear your flip-flops as you traipse across the shore.

Location:
On the south coast, in between Es Torrent and Cala Jondal.

Who goes there: Another contender that features highly on the 'so-top-secret-we-don't-want-to-share-it-with-anyone' list of local's favourite beaches. You are just as likely to be lazing next to royalty as you are to one of Ibiza's original hippies!

When to go: While it’s not what you’d call a busy beach, by lunchtime Es Xarcu is buzzing so arrive early to score the best sun beds!

White-Escapes loves: The tranquility of this beach means your reverie won't be disturbed by paddle balls, loud music or rowdy tourists and there are plenty of thatched umbrellas dotted across the shore provide the perfect amount of shade under which to take a snooze… in between cocktails of course!
