A sleepy little resort style beach on the north coast of the island, San Miguel feels a bit like the Ibiza beach that time forgot, thanks to its retro style sun loungers and umbrellas, faded old hotel facades dominating the shores and tourist shops chock-full of the same lilos that they stocked in 1988… but we love it! Less boho than her sister beach Benirras, the vibe on San Miguel is classic family fun, with the flat cove of sand and shallow waters perfect for parents to keep an eye on their little ones while they relax and soak up the sun.

Who goes there?

A cross section of people from all over the island, and indeed the world. You’ll be sharing the sand with visiting families, seeking peace in the north, local fisherman on their days off and tourists who have been visiting the nearby caves of Can Marça and need a refreshing dip to cool off!

When to go

A mid-week visit to San Miguel is recommended, to ensure you get a parking space on the street, a sun lounger on the beach and a seat in the popular restaurants at lunchtime!

White Ibiza loves

Taking a hike through the pine-clad hills to the left of the beach, where you’ll find a hidden beach with a secret chiringuito, a beautiful old pirate tower and another island-like beach that faces opposite the port, for a different perspective on the area.
