Gypsy Westwood

Gypsy traveled extensively through Asia between 1999 and 2001, after she completed a degree in fine art and photography at Middlesex University and found herself inspired and awed by the children in India. 'I was quite shy and cautious to get my camera out in India,' she says, 'but the kids always made it easy.'  

'Anyone who has done travels through that part of the world, knows how curious and interested they are in us as westerners traveling through their countries,' she continues, explaining that as a photographer to be surrounded by their willing faces, she was equally as curious and interested in her subjects. 'They are amazing, beautiful people and the kids are very easy subjects. With that ease, I managed to capture some beautiful faces.'
