Six years in the making, this brilliant new five-star hotel located in Santa Eulalia will blow your mind. From underwater music and light sensors that know when you awaken to an exclusive VIP floor called Cloud Nine, Aguas de Ibiza is an entirely new level of luxury.
Owned by the Torres family from nearby town San Carlos and born out of pure passion for the island, Aguas de Ibiza's interiors are by Jordi Cuenca of Barcelona's Triade Studios in collaboration with Spanish architect Juan de los Rios. The whitewashed exterior is as traditional Ibiza as the 1000 plus year-old olive tree at the entrance but once inside, the hotel entering the open lobby you are greeted by the powerful sight of steel, Ibicencan stone and handmade alabaster furniture lit with sunlight streaming inside from the four floors above.
The ground floor cocktail lounge, with its pebbled walls and view of the marina, is open all year round with DJs spinning tunes nightly and a luxury tapas menu to tantalise your tastebuds.
The top floor is dedicated to Cloud Nine, with 19 rooms including the Presidential suite, a private entrance, reception and concierge service. But believe us, staying in the rest of the hotel is no hardship – boasting 12 corner suites, 45 junior suites and 36 deluxe rooms, all with a terrace, stunning view and Bang & Olufsen electrical equipment – you certainly aren’t short changed.
Finally, Aguas de Ibiza has three swimming pools, including one on the chill out roof terrace – all with underwater speakers so you can swim in a musical paradise. The choice of incredible local, ecological and international cuisine is spread across three restaurants
with a gym and spa (specialising in Chinese medicine) due to open in October, there is so much here you won’t want to leave.
And after just one night’s stay we know which cloud you’ll be on!
