Ses Pitreras, Sant Agusti, Ibiza, Spain

Hip, hip hotel!

On an unassuming street on the west side of Ibiza - a stone’s throw from world famous sunset spots like Café Del Mar and Cala Conte and a 200-metre walk to the beach - is Ibiza boutique hotel Ses Pitreras. Shrouded with palm trees and hidden by high fences, its whitewashed exterior gives no clues as to the luxury that lies beyond its discreet, gated entrance…

Once inside, the intimate hotel is in complete contrast to its suburban surroundings. Attention to detail is apparent everywhere, from meticulously preened gardens – think lush green lawn, bright pink bouganvillea and the hotel’s namesake, large cactus-like Pitreras plants – and sparkling swimming pool with dark wooden deck to the sophisticated and stylish lounge bar.

Featuring just nine design-focused rooms set across two floors (with upstairs suites offering sensational sunset views), Ses Pitreras is a luxuriously peaceful escape. Contemporary finishes fused with traditional elements come courtesy of famed interior designer Joan Lao – who has left no detail overlooked.

An in-house restaurant serves traditional Mediterranean cuisine merged with modern, international flavours, alongside a well-planned wine list and unbeatable cocktails, with exceptional service de rigeur.

Last, but never least is a state-of-the-art spa, solely for clients, including a hydro circuit with Turkish bath, Jacuzzi, massage pool and sauna, plus a deluxe menu of treatments ranging from manicures to massages and much more. True bliss!

White’s Miss W says: ‘When you’re inside the protective walls of Ses Pitreras, it has such an international, cosmopolitan vibe going on that you feel like you could be in Barcelona, Los Angeles or Melbourne… but with the beautiful feeling of the balmy Mediterranean breeze, the stunning Ibiza sunset and laidback island ambience – perfecto!’
