And on that farm…
Once upon a time, in Ibiza’s beautiful bohemian north, there was a picturesque organic livestock farm where chickens roamed free, piglets rolled happily in mud and doe-eyed cows batted their lashes while fresh fruit and veg bloomed all around. And on that farm, there was the prettiest little casita… called Casa Buen Honor.
Each room is kitted out in picture perfect, rustic-yet-luxurious Ibiza style, ranging from small decorations to large feature pieces. In fact, if you stumbled across Casa Buen Honor by mistake, you may think you’d entered the home of a very stylish farmer (or his wife!)!
The beauty of Casa Buen Honor’s showroom is if you can fit it in your car, you can take it on the day (though speedy delivery or commissions can be arranged). Ornate mirrors, hand-painted wooden tables and chairs, deluxe four-poster beds, quirky candles, whimsical wooden lamps, indoor and outdoor dining settings, rustic armoires… absolutely everything is for sale.
In the kitchen, stock up on farm-fresh seasonal produce, homemade chutneys, jams, infused olive oils, freshly squeezed juices, lemonade, home-baked quiches or hampers tailored to your taste (keep your eye out for festive hampers in December, with home made mince pies, pate, cheese, chutneys and tasteful crackers). Catering for special events is also available, and the farm makes a gorgeous location for lunch or kids’ parties.
Easily accessed from the San Carlos road, Casa Buen Honor is open every Wednesday and Saturday from 10am until 2pm, or by appointment. Pop in for fresh eggs and jam, and you might just find yourself going home with a table to eat them on!
