The meeting point
Any time, any place, anywhere, anyway… That’s the premise behind thriving Ibiza restaurant Café Sidney, situated in the hub of the portside community, Marina Botafoch, providing fabulous food and a home-style environment to Ibiza for over 16 years.
Open 365 days from 9am (10 in winter), until very late, Café Sidney’s kitchen is always open. Breakfast is served at all hours - we love the Barcelona, with Spanish omelette, melon wrapped in Serrano ham and fresh tomato toast and the glamorous Paris, complete with roast beef, smoked salmon and a glass of cava. Muesli, healthy treats and eggs (however you like them) are also plentiful, and on Sundays in winter, don’t miss the all-you-can-eat brunch buffet.
For lunch and dinner, the extensive (regularly changing) menu offers something for everyone. Start by tucking into tasty tapas portions or a sharing platter, while for mains, the filet steak is legendary, as is the whole dorada. In summer, fresh, light options such as gazpacho and huge salads prove to be firm favourites but if you’d prefer to takeaway, check out the sandwich menu (try the chef’s special three-storey club) and the pizzas, renowned as the island’s best.
In winter, warm up with comfort food like jacket potatoes, pasta, bouillabaisse, German sausages and roast beef. Weekly Asiatic buffets are popular with locals, with the roaring fireplace making Café Sidney a favoured cosy hangout. Christmas becomes extra special, with the entire venue decked out in traditional decorations.
There’s plenty of parking and wi-fi for those who take their business on the road, while sports fans rejoice knowing all major events, such as football and Formula 1, are shown on the big TV. With clientele hailing from all corners of the globe, Café Sidney is the ultimate cosmopolitan meeting point, where you’ll never feel alone, even at a table for one!
