KM5 Lounge, Restaurant in Ibiza, Spain
The unassuming façade of this 400-year old house on the San Jose Road gives little indication that behind its wooden doorway lies Ibiza's very own Narnia – also known as KM5, a fantastical destination fusing chilled ambience, exquisite décor and an abundance of fun and frivolity.
A stroll through KM5 is a journey in itself. Lose yourself within the fantastical garden space, sit by candle light beneath the stars, sip signature cocktails by cabana-esque bars - constructed around enormous fairy-light laden trees - and marvel at the whimsical life-sized Orca (killer whale) bar.
Take your place in a spectacular custom-made Haima (Bedouin tent), bedecked with chandeliers, Arabian style tapestries, wooden floorboards and gorgeous furnishings. Lounge on palatial all-white sofas, drape across sensual pink chaise lounges or become ensconced in eclectic cushions – options are plentiful.
KM5’s lavish restaurant boasts white drapes, Moroccan lamps, ornate high-backed chairs and is ideal for intimate dinners and group gatherings alike. Famous for the incredible beef flown in especially from Argentina, simplicity is the key to this Mediterranean influenced menu's success.
Back inside the building, an extensive renovation - including bespoke furniture from Bali - will be unveiled at this year's opening party. Next door, a sophisticated gallery space, proudly displaying the very finest from local Ibiza artists and an exclusive boutique, home to an array of hippie chic fashion, hand-made leather shoes, bags and belts plus jewellery, CDs and more provides the ultimate keepsakes from your night.
Famous for its phenomenal opening, closing, full moon and anniversary parties, every night at KM5 has been a special occasion since 1995, with resident DJs Sergi Ribas, Graham Sahara and Jean Cedric getting the dance floor groove on until the early hours.
15 fabulous years, but who’s counting?
