On the golden shores of Playa D’en Bossa, Sands Beach Restaurant, buzzing with true Balearic spirit, a friendly, vibrant and inviting atmosphere where you can sunbathe in style alongside colourful characters and dine between Ibiza identities and tipped off travelers alike.
Expanding on the Sands venture for the 2010 season (and beyond), Sands main man Jason Bull has teamed up with Japanese nightlife brand A-life, adding some oriental fusion to the rustic chic location for the perfect chilled out day on the beach.
The mouth-watering menu is packed with Asian-meets-Mediterranean delights. Heading up the Japanese kitchen is chef Yuli Miura, serving up sensational sushi, oriental gazpacho, amazing cold soba noodles, tempura prawns on a bed of steamed rice and an amazing seafood salad with prawns, squid and sashimi and wasabi dressing. And much, much more…
Meanwhile, Argentinian chef Luciano Scardaccione of Hotel Es Vive fame continues to deliver the Sands classics, like deluxe seared tuna steak or taste-sensational fish and chips. Not just any old fish and chips – succulent battered cod served with tangy wasabi mayo sauce.
Have staple beach eats including the legendary home made burgers, steak and cheddar ciabbata with caramelized red onion sauce or mussels steamed in lemongrass and coconut sauce delivered directly to your sun bed. Those with a sweet tooth will love the dessert menu, featuring the world’s best brownie and a cheesecake that is really something else…
Sip on addictive jugs of cava sangria or amazing cocktails, while listening to DJs spin laidback beats from 1pm daily, often broadcast live on Ibiza Sonica. Late afternoon parties include local’s favourite SOS (Sands on Saturday!), plus the new pre-party for Warung on Wednesday, plus exclusive one-off events throughout the season. ‘Living the life’ is Sands’ ethos – and it doesn’t get much better than this…
