Sands, chilled out beachside restaurant

Sands, Ibiza, Spain

Balearic beachside bliss

On the golden shores of Playa D’en Bossa, Sands Beach Restaurant – the latest venture from Ibiza entrepreneur and long-time island resident Jason Bull - is buzzing with true Balearic spirit, a friendly, vibrant and inviting atmosphere where you can sunbathe in style alongside colourful characters and dine between Ibiza identities and tipped off travelers alike.

Alongside the effervescent Jason is much-loved Ibiza hostess with the mostess, Sands artistic director Alex Pascual welcoming one and all into this rustic chic location for the perfect chilled out day on the beach, long lazy lunch or pre-party cocktails.

Colourfully framed blackboards display the healthy and delicious menu – created by Argentinian chef Luciano Scardaccione of Hotel Es Vive fame - packed with food for every mood. Staple beach eats like home made burgers (now reaching legendary status), sandwiches, super salads and baguettes are delivered directly to your sun bed while inside the rustic beach restaurant you’ll be treated to Asian-meets-Mediterranean delights such as tuna tartar, tiger prawns with avocado, lime and wasabi or chili cod tempura.

Those who love all-day breakfasts will rejoice with variations on tradition such as scrambled eggs with asparagus or salmon, on offer until the kitchen closes at 10pm. Those with a sweet tooth will be pleased to spy the separate dessert menu, featuring home made apple pie and cheesecake plus sorbet and ice cream to cool off after a hot day on the beach.

DJs spin laidback beats from 1pm daily, with late afternoon pre-parties in conjunction with some of the island’s biggest promoters, such as Be@Space, Dantz, Superfreq, Wonderland and Sonica Radio taking place regularly, plus exclusive one-off events throughout the season.

‘Living the life’ is Sands’ ethos – and it doesn’t get much better than this…

I can think of about a hundred different reasons why I want to visit Sands every day of the week, but let me keep it quick - the food (chicken thai fried rice is my number one menu item), the views (sand and sea - need i say more?), the people (amazing hosts, super staff and plenty of good friends) and the music (top notch DJs equal chilled vibes on a summer's day). So what are you waiting for?
