KsaR Living, Ibiza, Spain

A KsaR is born

As you drive through the rolling green San Jose hills towards Es Vedra, you’ll find a magical destination en route that is as much a priority to visit as its mystical neighbour: KsaR, the spectacular interiors showroom and store at Cala Carbo.

The inspiration of Barcelona born fashion designer Alberto Cortes and his wife, Dutch interiors expert Yvonne Vonhulst, KsaR is Ibiza’s premier locale for those looking to turn their house into a home or fully equip their Ibiza villa for a luxury summer rental, from sheets, towels and glassware to finishing touches like candles and decor.

Translating in Arabic to palace, KsaR is an apt description for the space Alberto lovingly refers to as their creative laboratory. New collections - sourced from exotic locations around the globe - are constantly arriving instore, meaning each new visit heralds a new discovery.

The couple offer a full interior design service from concept to completion, whether for bathroom, bedroom, living area, an entire villa or even high-end hotels. For those not in the market to redesign, simply peruse the store for whatever takes your fancy a temptation many islanders have succumbed to since KsaR’s inception a year ago.

From exquisite bespoke (and made-to-measure) furniture such as wooden tables, four-poster beds, swinging wicker chairs and teak bookshelves to embroidered wall hangings, wool carpets to amazing tiles including mosaic, marble, pebbles and tadelact, striking natural stucco made from chalk. Then there are the extras, from  Moroccan lighting, exotic tea sets and ceramic soap holders right down to 470 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets.

Alberto describes the KsaR style as holiday architecture (clients can also enquire with KsaR's trusted, experienced constructors), based around natural stones and wood, rustic yet exotic, a tactile mix of cultures and colours with the aim to make you feel simultaneously at home and on holiday.

A palace of pleasures indeed…
