Halloween chic. If it ever stops raining in Ibiza, i’ll take off this jacket I PROMISE.  Until then, she stays.

Tonight my wingman Kitt Proudfoot (unreservedly my favourite DJ in the world) and I are whizzing to the fourth birthday of Nassau Beach Club. Which is on the beach. It’s raining so hard it’s quite ridic and the fireworks which usually mark the end of the annual Medieval Festival have been replaced with lightning. Lush.

So, we cover up. And we do it in BLACK for reasons of STEALTH and other things too.

What Maya wears: Gestutz jacket and trousers - photography by Ana Lui

JACKET: Yah, yah seen it before, by Gestuz from Selfridges, present from James. Tick.

TOP: My slouchy black fine knit tee is from my absolute fave casualwear label, James Perse. He has a great flagship store on Bleeker St in NYC and everyone ought to stock up on jersey and t-shirts in blacks, greys and nudes if they can go there.

LEGWEAR: I am obsessed with my legwear, possibly the greatest trousers in the world. They are also from Gestuz at Selfridges and are made from alternating bands of velvet and mesh. They make my legs feel like they should make a frog noise if you rubbed a wooden stick up and down them. Like one of those wooden toys from when you were little (or from the Medieval festival!)

SHOES: I went for a classic pointy black Prada stiletto tonight as they’re super-easy to walk in and keep the rest of the look sleek (but I ran through the rain to the car in ballet flats. What a cheat).

What Maya wears: Daisy Chakras from the Aura Collection - photography by Ana Lui

BAG: All this black needs a bit of a print to pull it from Halloween territory, and this oversized leopard print ponyskin clutch from Reiss does the trick. I’m a huge fan of this big clutch, as it looks just as good with a slim jean and a grey tee and espadrilles running around town, as it does dressed up for night.

ACCESSORIES: All the jangly bits on my wrists, including the lush black Daisy Chakra from the new Aura Chakra collection, are from Daisy.

What Maya drinks: Campari and soda - photography by Ana Lui

LIPS: Leopard print is never quite complete (for me) without a colourpop lipstick, and here i’m wearing my signature red, which I’ve worn forever. It’s an orangey red and very matte, so has a very modern look.  I can’t do a classic glossy red lipstick or I look about a hundred.

PS. If you’re wondering what we’re drinking, it’s Campari and Soda with a slice of orange. THE WORLD’S GREATEST DRINK. Need to get more peeps on board with this. So colourpop. So 80s.

What will Maya wear next week?
