Ibiza wedding planner Serena Cook of Deliciously Sorted's favourite wedding she ever organised was a romantic-yet-rustic countryside wedding, held on a vacant plot of land in San Carlos (belonging to the groom’s sister), with no running water or electricity!

Paying tribute to bride’s Dutch heritage, the colour theme throughout the décor was orange – perfectly complementing the clay coloured soil, lush green hilltops and clear blue skies surrounding the makeshift venue.

With their hearts set on an orange, Indian Raj-style tent for the reception, the wedding couple bought reams of beautiful orange-toned fabrics in Shepherd’s Bush market with which Serena transformed a stock-standard Spanish marquee into their dream, accentuated with huge lanterns. Outside the trees were strung with paper lanterns and pretty ribbons and Serena - with the help of The Shop's Simeon Friend - even actually built eco-toilets, painted orange especially for the occasion.

Chef Mark Watkins of La Grande Bouffe cooked the wedding feast on a giant grill in the field, further contributing to the rustic feel of the event and Flamenco legend Paco Fernandez was on hand to keep guests entertained afterwards, while Ibiza wedding photographer Gyspy Westwood captured all the action on camera.
