About the wedding

Alan and Kim’s Ibiza wedding was held on a golden day last summer at Amante Beach Club, on the cliffs of Sol d’en Serra. Ibiza wedding photographer Annie Peel captured many wonderful memories for the happy couple and all went off without a hitch, thanks to the expert planning of Ibiza Wedding.

Decorations were simple and sweet, like wildflower bouquets with pink roses, scented stocks and pretty grasses and while excited guests waited at the venue – many clad in kilts because the groom and best man swore it was cooler than trousers – the bridal party were preparing at Sa Prunera, a private villa in Santa Gertrudis.

The bridesmaids carried pink hydrangeas and Kim’s bridal style was natural and elegant, perfectly suiting her character and beauty. Her adorable daughter was flower girl, scattering rose petals as she walked down the sandy aisle. The blessing ceremony took place in a Balinese mini-temple, with symbolic gestures and words celebrating love and nature mingling with the sound of the waves.

Then it was back up to the upper terrace for celebration cocktails, then just as night began to fall, a delicious wedding feast was laid out for all to enjoy before the bride, groom and guests reveled under the beautiful light of the moon.

About the photographer

Talented, instinctive, trusting, sensitive, super nice, hardworking and rather amusing to boot - meet Annie Peel of Annie Peel Photography.

Before photographing her first London wedding in 1995, Annie - backpack, camera and not much else in tow - travelled extensively, snapping the contrasting cultures of India, Nepal and Mexico, developing a fascinating portfolio. The unpolluted, undiluted and unique island lifestyle brought Annie to Ibiza in 2001 where she is now one of the island’s most popular wedding photographers.

Every wedding is different,’ Annie says, ‘and it’s an honour to be allowed to document an incredibly important part of someone’s life. The idea is for everyone – including me - to simply relax and enjoy the experience. My photos reflect this’.
