The personal process includes sketching, talking, handling metals, selecting stones, looking through images, colours, sizes and technical details, until a final design is agreed upon, although for those who prefer to be literally more hands on, you can even do a weekend course to make your own wedding rings with Cyd.

JOY Jewellery Making Courses

Starting this month, JOY Jewellery’s Cyd Hutton holds weekly bespoke jewellery making workshops, plus a ‘romantic weekend’ package where couples can come to Ibiza to make wedding rings for each other. ‘I try to make the space for lots of creative fun, exploring different techniques within jewellery making – anyone can join in at any level,’ Cyd says. Weekly classes (a three hour session) are 140€ per month and take place on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday mornings, covering many techniques including piercing, soldering, stone setting, designing, polishing and more.
