Alfredo and Jaime Fiorito are the very epitome of Ibiza’s musical heritage. It makes sense then, that their latest joint musical offering together encompasses their roots, spanning two musical generations and looking forward to the future. The Heritage Project is more than just a father and son DJ act – the project incorporates a cool new blog, audiovisual content and a radio show plus a series of new parties to be unleashed on Ibiza (and the world!) in 2012.

The Heritage Project presents White Ibiza‘s latest podcast, an eclectic mix kicking off with some very fresh house, passing by Roxy Music and winding up with some slower classics – the perfect mix for a pre-summer road trip to Ibiza!

Taking time out from her residency with Hed Kandi in Sydney, up and coming Australian DJ Mia Lucci is spending summer 2011 in Ibiza to continue working on her productions and take inspiration from the vast musical culture surrounding her. Not that she’s a stranger to musical culture – while most of her friends were fighting over toys, a five-year old Mia was making her way through her parents’ vast collection of mostly Latin influenced vinyl! Djing is her way to combine a love of congas and bongos, timbales and shakers, guiras and cabasas with the clean sound of a house kick drum. His childhood hobby resurfaced at the same time he discovered the island of Ibiza… and the rest, as they say, is history. Today he lives in Ibiza all year round with his fiancé Laura Fowles (aka Hed Kandi saxophonist Lovely Laura – read her interview here) and gives us the scoop on island life.
