Easing in to the 2011 season is beautiful Ibiza beach restaurant Pura Vida, who reopen with a soft launch for the duration of the Easter weekend – from 11am until 6pm daily, Thursday through Monday – continuing on weekends until the ‘official’ opening in May. Try the all-new daytime Mediterranean menu, made up primarily of the freshest seafood, plus pasta and beach snacks.

Our top tip: the seafood platter with mussels, razor clams, calamari, Vigaros, clams and prawns, or the delectable Vietnamese lobster spring rolls, followed by fresh dorada from the oven, stuffed with fruit, vegetables and a homemade mayonnaise of chives, chicory and lime. There’s also a special kid’s menu of spaghetti with tomato sauce or parmesan and butter plus deep fried fish with french fries. All washed down with an icy cold selection from the extensive wine list (or juices and water for the little ones of course!), with stunning views of the beach of Playa Niu Blau.
