Fashion designer, artist, jewellery maker – there’s no end to the diverse creativity of Gisela G. Her exquisite clothes - sought after by it-girls, fashionistas and supermodels alike – have been snapped up and sold by fashion giants Paul Smith and Matthew Williamson along with chic boutiques in London, Germany and New York.
Introductions aside, Gisela first came to Ibiza in the late 1960s on holiday from her native Germany, making it her permanent base in the 1980s. Initially she used her background in theatre to design and create extravagant sets and costumes for the shows held at the legendary nightclub Ku (now known as Privilege).
Today Gisela believes living in Ibiza enables her to take a unique approach to the way she designs, looking to the natural and physical environment around her for inspiration.
Scouring the planet to find the finest materials such as silk, cashmere, bamboo and cotton, Gisela uses natural dyes like lemon, onion and mulberry to produce her fabulously feminine collections, from figure hugging knit dresses in bold colours and sensational silk skirts to jaw-dropping glittery tops, all guaranteed to give you the wow factor.
Each creation is one hundred per cent unique - you’ll never see someone else wearing your outfit at a special event. And when it comes to the ultimate in one-off designs? Gisela offers a bespoke wedding dress service, to ensure you look a million dollars on your special day.
Finish off your ensemble with Gisela’s distinctive accessories – necklaces, chokers, bracelets and even headpieces, all made from high tech yarn and to your specifications.
Gisela’s collections are hand-made in her gorgeously kitsch studio - set in the village of San Juan – and are available to be viewed by appointment only.
That’s one date we won’t be fashionably late for.
