2015 Reopening at Amante Beach Club & Restaurant
Come Thursday April 2, 2015, island residents will be clamouring to return to the much-loved hideaway haven of Amante Beach Club & Restaurant at Sol d’en Serra, as it reopens for the season. With nothing less than magnificent Mediterranean views from the tranquil, sun-drenched terrace every day, Amante captures the very essence of Ibiza through fine food, elegant decor and a laid-back ambience.
To celebrate the auspicious occasion, the Amante kitchen have created a very special dish – Arroz Negro con Espardeñas (black rice with sea cucumbers) – drawing on traditional Catalan cuisine. Using rice infused with fresh squid ink, mixed with freshly chopped squid and a local delicacy, sea cucumbers (closely related to the sea urchin and starfish) that are harvested by hand via tiny boats moored off the shores of the Balearic Islands – the dish is considered by many to have great aphrodisiacal properties. Well, Amante does translate directly to lover, so why not order it and see what happens?
