Operation Rescue Pippi Sol
Regular Ibiza visitors will know the myths and legends surrounding island identiy Pippi Sol, also often referred to as Pippi the Panda Lady. Whether true or false (is she the original inspiration for Pippi Longstocking? Was she married to an Italian prince? Does an alien live inside her toy teddy bear?), the fact is Pippi is a much-loved character on the island’s social scene and she needs your help!
Over the winter, Pippi (who is of Italian and Argentinean descent) was stopped in France due to her Italian passport being expired, and was sent back to Argentina, where she had not been for the last 40 years. Now Pippi is waiting in Argentina for a new passport and her friends in Ibiza are raising funds to help her return to Ibiza, as she has no access to any money in Argentina.
Boutique Hostal Salinas are opening their doors from 6pm until midnight on Saturday May 7, 2016 to host the fundraising event, with music by many of Pippi’s friends including Franco Moiraghi, Eva Pacifico, Max Etnica, Motoe Haus, David Phillips, Sam Sparacio, Tim Angrave, Nick Stim, Marta DLM, Ibiza Serpent, Simone and many more.
