San Juan Festival
The San Juan Festival is one of the oldest and most traditional fiestas held in the history of the island. As summer solstice approaches annually, islanders make their pilgrimage to the rural north of the island in the name of dispelling evil spirits and to welcome in the beautiful summer. Boisterous celebrations featuring blazing bonfires – jump over them with the locals if you dare – take place in the village of San Juan on Thursday June 23, 2016. Mark this date on your calendar and celebrate a true Ibicenco tradition.
