Lovers of gastronomy, fine wine and the north of Ibiza will be pleased to hear there’s a new dining destination ticking all three boxes open all year round. Chic eatery Gare Du Nord is subtly tucked away on a hillside in the village of San Juan, its classic green and white exterior subtly hiding one of winter’s most exciting new culinary xperiences, headed up by renowned head chef Emmanuel Anzel Martínez.
On Saturday November 18, 2017 the venue welcomes one and all to help celebrate the start of its first winter season with a special Winter Opening Dinner kicking off from 8.30pm. The chef has specially designed a seven-course set menu showcasing the new winter menu items for just 45€ per person (excluding drinks) which features Thai red lentil and coconut soup and ultra-fresh seafood ceviche to start, a delectable sirloin ‘rossini’ with truffled potato terrine, the winter warming seasonal mushroom and truffle risotto, mouthwatering corvina with Indian nut curry and clams and an amazing carrot and coconut cake to finish.
For those interested in pairing each course with a specific wine, there is also a wine tasting option available for an additional 25€ or of course, the restaurant’s extensive and well thought-out wine menu is also on offer.
