An event every week that begins at 9:45am on Tuesday, repeating until Monday May 1, 2017
Ashtanga is a dynamic form of yoga, introduced in the 20th century in India by Sri Pattabis Jois and introduced to the west in the 60s. The well-known series starts with sun salutations, followed by a succession of postures, relaxation and twists – organised with increasing difficulty level: standing, sitting, lying, extension and twists.
This 90-minute class practiced in the modern, stylish Hot Yoga Ibiza studios, led by Ibiza yoga instructor Sebastien Carincotte, serves as an introduction to the first series, working on flexibility and deep cleansing of the body, especially allowing opening of the pelvis.
This dynamic form of yoga usually calls to those who like effort and action via the Vinyasa method (the synchronisation of breathing and movement) and works with breathing called ‘Ujjai’ which permits the optimal management of energy and a significant removal of body toxins. Practiced without heat.
Drop-in class 25€. Full week introduction for residents 35€. Monthly passes from 75€. Call +34 971 194 241 for more information.
