Colours of Summer – Helen Sadler Exhibition
An event every week that begins at 8:30pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, repeating until Sunday October 8, 2017
Continuing its longstanding tradition of hosting exhibitions by some of the island’s hottest up and coming local artists, El Hotel Pacha presents its final exhibition of 2017 from Monday September 25, 2017. Colours of Summer by UK-born, Ibiza-based artist Helen Sadler runs until October 8, 2017, showcasing the artist’s colourful acrylic works.
Well-known on the island’s creative scene, Sadler – who hails from Somerset – originally studied Art, Design and Advertising at Weston Art College and Staffordshire University before moving onto roles in advertising agencies in Manchester, national television advertising and photography shoots and more, before the white isle beckoned in 2009. Here she has worked on many international productions, alongside some of the world’s greatest photographers and art directors, with the likes of Gucci, Paul Smith, Corinne Day, Helena Bonham Carter, Vogue and Elle among others. Most recently, she has designed album covers for electronic music artists including Mr Doris, winner of the Best Ibiza DJ in 2016.
While Helen’s career has included much graphic design work, in 2017 she has begun to move away from the computer and turned her creative skills to canvas. Inspired by the colours and light of her adopted home of Ibiza and its sister island Formentera, her exhibition Colours of Summer sees her experiment with vibrant acrylics. All works on display at El Hotel Pacha are available to purchase.
