Pikes Literary Festival
Set in the San Antonio hills, Pikes is as famous for pushing cultural boundaries as it is for throwing raucous parties, as will be visible on Tuesday September 11 to Wednesday September 12, 2018, when the venue hosts its first ever literary festival. Headlined by world-renowned, critically acclaimed names from the film and publishing world, and centred around sumptuous evening suppers, author readings and conversation, it’s set to be one of this summer’s cultural highlights.
Appearances come from Trainspotting author, Irvine Welsh, who’ll be discussing his latest work while taking guests on a whistlestop tour of his life and loves, and Kill Your Friends author John Niven, who’ll be doling out advice off the back of a successful career. There’ll also be tips for budding writers, a spoken word finale, and of course, oodles of Pikes merriment thrown in for good measure. Tickets available from the Pikes website.
