Ibiza clubs: Destino Ibiza – Day to night dancing
The epitome of luxury and decadence when it comes to beach resorts in Ibiza, Destino Ibiza has proven popular with Ibiza’s locals and elite alike. Perched at the top of a cliff in the exclusive Cap Martinet area, just a stone’s throw from the furthest end of Talamanca, the gorgeous resort – owned by the Pacha group – overlooks the Mediterranean Sea, with stunning views to Formentera and just a few short minutes drive to Ibiza town.
Given the resort’s strong musical heritage, it’s no surprise the Destino brand has some amazing party plans up their stylish sleeves. Waltz around the sparkling swimming pool at the heart of the venue, surrounded by palm trees, day beds and a king size Jacuzzi. The beautiful open air stage is equipped with a powerful sound system to keep the dance floor heaving from day to night. After midnight, the action continues inside the dark and sinful Tox Prive Club.
Thanks to some creative production and clever venue manipulation, island renegade Guy Gerber has engineered one of the coolest little hot spots in Ibiza, right inside one of its most extravagant and luxurious hotels.
A forgotten little corner of the Destino Ibiza terrace is transformed each week into a tropical paradise complete with Tiki-hut DJ booth, cliffside cocktail bar and a dance-floor full of some dedicated lovers of electronic music. Still one of the island’s best kept secrets, these Sunday nights deserve all the Rumors they generate.
Expanding his self-titled concept from the Pacha venue just down the road, Solomun + Live is a chance for the famed producer to invite a live guest to the stage of the luxury outdoor performance space of Destino Ibiza. Under the sunshine, and later the stars, the Diynamic label boss Solomun is joined at each of his four special Thursday daytime parties by a quality headline live act. Electronic live music in the open-air surroundings of a stunning resort hotel in Ibiza, what’s not to love?
Chilean-born Swiss resident Luciano has become legendary for his daytime open-air sessions in Ibiza. The Luciano & Friends concept has experienced various island venues and popped up in some more unusual places but is renowned for quality guest artists and a joyous good times set from the man himself, Luciano. Primarily known for his underground techno-infused style, his two special Thursday events in 2017 give the prolific producer an opportunity to play an outdoor summery session with more of a carnival vibe. Invited guests are always of the highest standard and the atmosphere unrivalled. Don’t miss the pyrotechnics finale.
Whether riding around the island in their brightly painted VW buses, or occupying the market square on the old town every week with their be-flowered hair and hippie flares, the Flower Power team are hard to miss and bring a welcome breath of fresh air to the open air venue in 2017. The afternoon Flower Power Beat Experience Festival on Thursday July 13, 207 promises to take dancers on a 12-hour trip to California in 1967, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the summer of love.
The space is set to be turned into a psychedelic playground, complete with live art, street food, a hippie market by the iconic Las Dalias, a large chill-out area to lie on the lawn after a swim in the pool, open-air visuals, holistic experiences, technology, motor collection exhibitions, art workshops, analog music acts and more. Kicking off at midday, admission to this amazing event is free until 5pm so be sure to get there early. From from 6pm the action moves to the main stage for anauthentic Flower Power by Pacha experience with special guesy DJ Pippi.
Dance beneath the stars until midnight and then continue the party downstairs in Tox – at Destino this summer, the party never ends!
