Enter the world of ENTER.Sake

Tonight, Thursday July 2, 2015 sees Richie Hawtin’s ENTER. residency at Space Ibiza begin its fourth season on the white isle, and as usual the electronic music maestro has spent the winter months fine tuning the concept, tweaking elements, developing new ideas, introducing new technologies, artists and even new sakes to the event.

If you haven’t been fortunate enough to experience the world ENTER.Sake, make 2015 the year you take the plunge. What started as a small back room concept in 2012, in El Salon at Space that was an extension of Hawtin’s own passion for Sake has become a fully-fledged destination within the club, now filing the famous Sunset Terrace every Thursday night from the very civilised hour of 9pm.

It’s ENTER. but not as you know it. The space is transformed into a wood-themed Sake lounge, where the drinks and cocktail options are more sophisticated (with the sake collection curated personally by Hawtin) and the music takes on a more alternative slant, with special guest DJs, and Richie Hawtin himself, digging a little deeper into their crates for the more intimate, pre-party style vibe of ENTER.Sake.

One of the fresh ideas for 2015 is that ENTER.Sake will host an impressive array of back-to-back sessions from dance music luminaries including Drumcode founder Adam Beyer B2B his partner, Ida Engberg, Christian Smith B2B Wehbba, Dubfire B2B Victor Calderone, Guy Gerber B2B Matthew Dear, Heidi B2B Miss Kittin, Berghain’s Marcel Dettmann B2B Ben Klock, Minus stalwarts Matador B2B Marc Houle, Maya Jane Coles B2B Kim Ann Foxman and island favourites tINI B2B Bella Sarris.

Hawtin isn’t exempt from the back-to-back duties – in fact, he relishes the chance and is surely already plotting and planning his three back-to-backsets throughout the season, alongside Detroit techno luminary Carl Craig, Ellum Audio head and ENTER. regular Maceo Plex and Paco Osuna.

Other special guests who will be performing solo throughout the season include Ean Golden, Hawtin’s Plus8 co-founder John Acquaviva, San Diego’s rising star LeeK and ROI. Previos ENTER.Sake residents Bella Sarris, Fabio Florido and Hito are also scheduled to return for regular guest slots behind the decks. Good news for partygoers and sake lovers is that entrance before 10pm is just 15€, or 10€ with the omnipresent black dots obtained from the ENTER. PR teams on the beach and in the streets.

And if the musical treats on offer weren’t enough to tempt you, there’s the boutique selection of ENTER.Sakes. This season ENTER. continues its collaboration with the Kyoto-based Sookuu for their exclusive ENTER.Sookuu Black Sake, and expands the collection this year with the new ENTER.Sake Shuhari.Gold, from one of Japan’s oldest sake breweries, Matsumoto, which has been producing sake at the same location for over two hundred years. Also new this year is Kokuryu Sake Brewing Company’s ENTER.Sake Kuzuryu.Black and the ENTER.SAKE Black Dot, brewed by the state – of the – art Sekiya Brewery Co. in the Japanese Alps. All the more reason to enter the world of ENTER.Sake!
