Ibiza clubs: Hï Ibiza – The new frontier

Tuesdays at Hï Ibiza showcase a double debut for two of the island’s emerging star performers. Eric Prydz uses the Theatre room of the hi-tech venue as a platform for his awe-inspiring live shows in his first Ibiza residency. Pushing the boundaries of performance and production, Prydz curates a forward-thinking line-up with outstanding taste. Deep inside the Club of Hï Ibiza, ANTS favourite Andrea Oliva invites some of his nearest and dearest friends and artists to play alongside him in a celebration of the best in underground Ibiza sounds.
Long-standing Ibiza resident and Grammy-nominated superstar DJ Armin Van Buuren finds a new home on Wednesdays, as the Dutchman takes over the discotheque’s Theatre transmitting his passion for A Higher State of Trance to the freshest dance floor in Ibiza. Over in the Club, Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano bring summer-friendly house vibes, joined by a selection of the brightest stars in electronic dance music, expect uplifting and sexy music with a clientele to match.
Five key residents with long-running history on the island spearhead the Friday night in-house offering. Joris Voorn, Kölsch, Luciano, Nic Fanciulli and Steve Lawler bring their multi-faceted talents together for an important collaboration in the history of Playa D’en Bossa nightlife. Promising more of the same twinkly house anthems, gleaming disco-classics and extravagant performances from the outrageous Glitterbox dancers, head honcho Simon Dunmore is joined by a world-class selection of names in house music, along with PA’s, guest singers and a uniquely faithful and exuberant Ibiza crowd that love nothing more than a good shimmy.
South African DJ and producer Black Coffee hosts his first island residency on Saturday nights. From the Blue Parrot in Tulum to Panorama Bar in Berlin, via Circoloco at DC-10, Black Coffee’s rise over the last 10 years has been consistently leading him to this weekly event, where fans both loyal and those yet to be converted can experience his range of music and style. Get set for this to be one of the runaway success stories of the summer for Hï Ibiza.
Hï Sundays! are all about the big hitters. Some of the biggest names in EDM take over the Theatre for a weekly showcase, including Dutch superstars Afrojack and Hardwell who are joined regularly by Swedish dance music icon and Size Matters label boss Steve Angello for a boisterous and energetic Sunday night rave. Over in The Club, island stalwarts and stars in the making, The Mambo Brothers curate the selection and invite a varied and eclectic mix of guests running the gamut from hip hop to disco and everything in between.
Sunday night partying in Playa d’en Bossa is a seriously long-standing island habit, and Hï Sundays carries the tradition on proudly.
