Ibiza clubs: Ushuaïa Beach Hotel – A pool party like no other
Ushuaïa Beach Hotel redefined open-air clubbing in Ibiza from the minute it declared its grand gates open, thanks to a festival-size capacity, open-air stage, major league line-ups and VIP crowds – not to mention some pretty impressive pyrotechnics.
The deluxe beachfront hotel sits in a prime spot in the centre of Playa d’en Bossa and invites you to get swept up its fantasy-like fairy-tale atmosphere, from huge frog princes on the pool deck, cat shaped totem poles and even elephants in the room. Whether you fancy taking in the action from the comfort of a VIP day bed, a luxury hotel suite for the ultimate party (and after-party) or from the middle of the thumping dance floor, there is something for everyone…
From the giant stacking caps to the oversized glow-sticks and confetti cannons, everything about David Guetta’s Monday daytime residency at Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel is BIG. Undisputably the most widely known DJ in the world, Guetta is joined by a weekly selection of guest DJs for an afternoon of huge tunes, enormous breakdowns and a larger than life performance.
Global EDM festival kingpins Tomorrowland arrive in Ibiza in 2017, taking up residency on Tuesday at the poolside luxury beach hotel. The Garden Of Madness dictates the theme for the Tuesday daytime extravaganza hosted by Belgian brothers Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike who currently hold the title in the DJ Mag Top 100 poll.
Wednesdays at Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel are devoted to a different superstar headliner each week, bringing the biggest global talent to the renowned stage for a massive weekly event. Limited Edition is the perfect setting to display some of the best production and state of the art lighting and sound on the island, with past Ushuaïa favourites and headliners such as Hardwell, Alesso, and Axwell and Ingrosso entertain on rotation.
Having a teenage superstar DJ at the helm of a weekly Ibiza nightclub is not so unusual when Martin Garrix is the EDM ace in question. Catapulted to stardom at the tender age of 16, the baby-faced Dutchman is actually 21 years old this summer, and celebrates his coming of age with not one but TWO unmissable parties in Playa d’en Bossa. Whilst Thursday daytimes play host to his self-titled Martin Garrix event, Ibiza’s newest nightclub across the road (and Ushuaïa’s sister venue), Hï Ibiza, welcomes the popular Multiply party every Monday.
Tinie Tempah is back at the Playa d’en Bossa beach venue in 2017 for a second summer of lyrical mastery, commercial hip hop and a splash of pop on Fridays. A pool party like no other, the South London rapper will be joined by a who’s who of the global grime scene as well as the odd celebrity superstar guest. Fans and fellow performers have included Will.I.Am, Snoop Dogg and Mistajam, so arrive early, squeeze on down the front and get down with the grime.
The indefatigable colony of ANTS spreads ever further across the island of Ibiza, as they enjoy their fifth summer of Saturdays at Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel. Saturdays afternoons in Ibiza certainly wouldn’t be complete without the ubiquitous collection of seasonal wristbands and our beaches wouldn’t be the same without the permanently passing black Lycra-clad parade. Eye-catching marketing aside, ANTS is the club’s underground and alternative offering, starting off early afternoon with a low-key (for Ushuaïa) beach affair, and then moving onto the main stage as the dusk settles and the stars come out. Techno and deep house vibes are the order of the day.
Norwegian songwriter and producer Kygo takes up residency at Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel in 2017, bringing breezy daytime vibes to Sundays in Playa d’en Bossa. Since remixing Ed Sheeran, closing the Rio Olympic games and notching up over 400 million views for one single on YouTube, the 25 year old musician is now ready to hit Ibiza every week with his own party. Joined by a selection of fresh new names, KYGO’s self-titled weekly event is the perfect end to a weekend – or possibly the start of it!
Come early, soak up the vibe and let the good times commence.
