For some otherworldly culture, stroll up the cobbled ramparts into Dalt Vila where In-Between Ibiza is a new contemporary art gallery bridging the traditional and the modern. Nestled between the iconic main arched entrance to the old fortress and the famous Museum of Contemporary Art, the gallery – founded by up-and-coming curator Jessica Courtney – is a community-orientated venture, nurturing collaborative relationships with the artists and their practice.
The gallery’s third exhibition this season features co-creating Australians and self-taught artists Bella Green and Angelica Wooton who present their joint project, Gelbell – a collection of vibrant, vivid and fierce works, full of life and energy, portraying beauty in everyday life. The artists’ works are held in revered private collections across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Europe, UK and the USA, and soon to be seen in Ibiza.
In-Between Ibiza is open from 11am to midnight, Monday to Saturday, it’s the perfect excuse to take a trip up into Ibiza’s very own UNESCO World Heritage Listed Site and soak in a double dose of culture.
