Wine Tasting

For an authentic taste of Ibiza, island oenophiles should plan a visit the Ojo De Ibiza Bodega, set in the sun-dappled hills of San Mateo in the far north of the island, on Thursdays, Fridays or Saturdays between 10am and 2pm when the family-run vineyard offers private wine tasting experiences. Make an appointment with one of the expert team members, who’ll take you on a tour of the production lab and talk you through the artisanal winemaking process, before sitting down to try each of the unique drops.

From Switzerland via Argentina to the clifftops of Ibiza, respected multidisciplinary artist and creative Dieter Meier and his family have been developing and nurturing four vineyards in Ibiza since 2015, and now proudly produce two distinctly different reds, a white and a rosé under the Ojo de Ibiza name, all with very limited production runs and made using organic viticulture techniques. At the Bodega, you’ll get the chance to sip on samples of all these blends – and, of course, stock up on your favourites while you’re there – while snacking on some typical local dishes on the sunny terrace.
