Benirras

Hippy haven

Set on the island’s northwest coast, Benirras is now one of Ibiza’s most talked about sunset destinations after decades of being a closely guarded locals secret. These days, it’s a must-visit for holidaymakers, especially on Sundays when the island’s drumming community come together for the iconic sunset experience that is like no other.

Cala Escondida

Sustainable sunsets

On the road to Las Salinas, with jaw dropping views across the salt flats is an all-new Ibiza sunset destination offering the finest in Nikkei cuisine and cocktails. Coricancha Nikkei Restaurant & Lounge Bar is the latest high glam offering from the Blue Marlin group, and while it may not be placed on the west side of the island, the sunset views are surprisingly every bit as magical.

Cotton Beach Club

Sunset magic

Lovers of Ibiza sunsets – there’s a new player in town. An all-new, incredible hotspot from which to witness the nightly spectacular of the sun melting into the Mediterranean Sea, complete with fabulous food, delicious cocktails and awesome entertainment. Welcome to Cotton Beach Club.

Es Vedra

Mythical moments

Rumour has it the monolithic limestone rock formation of Es Vedra, off Cala D’hort on the south coast of Ibiza, is the third most magnetic point in the world and has long been referred to as the source of Ibiza’s inexplicable energy. While geologists say no, one thing that is unquestionable is its beauty at sunset, best viewed from the beach or one of its restaurants, or the deserted pirate lookout tower, Torre de Savinar.

Experimental Beach

Bohemian sunsets

When many people think of Ibiza sunsets, they think of the island’s west coast. But those-in-the-know realise the hottest sunset ticket in town is located in the south, and thus make the bumpy dirt tracked beeline to Experimental Beach Ibiza at Cap des Falco.

Kumharas

The alternative view

In the heart of San Antonio bay, tucked away from the tourist trappings and sitting right on the water’s edge, Kumharas has long been a secret lovingly guarded by Ibiza residents, offering an alternative view of the famous Ibiza sunset…

La Torre Ibiza

Balearic beauty

On the outskirts of San Antonio, set on the rocky, rugged outcrops of Cap Negret, La Torre Ibiza is the reincarnation of what was once an old school cheap Spanish hostel, bar and restaurant with a view to die for. The view remains of course, but the revamp – courtesy of island sunset specialists Mambo Group – has seen it return to its former glory, and then some.

Punta Galera

Rock star sunsets

The beautiful beaches of the island’s west side truly are blessed, given that you can continue sunbathing and swimming right up until the very last moments before sunset – and the continued warmth means you can stay in the water, or at least in your swimsuit for even longer. Punta Galera is one such location, though technically not a beach, with stunning stone formations jutting out from the cliffs like large, flat shelves. It’s easy to see where its local nickname, ‘Flat Rocks’ comes from.

Sa Punta, Patchwork & Ginger

Talamanca trio

At the furthest point of Talamanca Bay, with breathtaking sunset views across the Med to Dalt Vila sits chic Ibiza dining destination Sa Punta. The restaurant has become a must-visit on the Ibiza gastronomic map since its inception over ten years ago and over time has evolved to also include two additional ‘restaurant within a restaurant’ concept spaces: Patchwork and Ginger.

Sunset Ashram

The zen set

The Ibiza sunset is as iconic as the island’s famous night clubs and DJs, and ask any long-term visitor or local where their favourite vantage point is and you’ll be sure to hear about Ibiza sunset restaurant Sunset Ashram.

Sunset Strip

Music and magic

As iconic Ibiza experiences go, watching the sunset from the famous San Antonio ‘sunset strip’ is one that has been shared by millions of people and continues to grow in popularity by day. Emotional and exciting at once, the strip boasts an array of bars and restaurants from which to witness nature’s nightly show, each with its own unique ambience.
