Rooftop Nine at INNSiDE Ibiza Beach

Those seeking a glimpse of Ibiza’s atmospheric sunset from an alternative destination should head to the gently curving coves of San Antonio Bay, where Rooftop Nine at INNSiDE Ibiza Beach ramps up the west coast’s delightful dusk-inspired offerings. An Ibiza bar with panoramic views across the sparkling Mediterranean Sea and Playa es Pinet, it’s a must-visit, less-crowded destination for dinner, drinks and unbeatable vistas. This summer, it adds more strings to its bow with a series of inspiring wellness classes, a curated program of eclectic musical sessions and a unique rooftop market.

Rooftop Nine is an extension of the seafront hotel’s chic interiors. Slick white sun loungers and Bali beds line the alfresco terrace and comfy bean bags are dotted about the deck. A central Ibiza bar gleams in the sunlight, and the picturesque infinity pool shimmers invitingly. Hotel guests and visitors are welcome to enjoy leisurely open-air lunches here, as well as ice-cold juices, smoothies and sundowners, freshly concocted by a team of talented mixologists. Made using fresh organic produce from nearby farm, Terra Masia, the menu features additional zesty lemonades and iced teas between 1pm and 3pm. As evening unfolds, specially crafted cocktails using the farm’s homemade gin take centre stage, and on Wednesdays, guests can sample some of the tasty seasonal fruits and veggies.

Elsewhere, at Rooftop Nine, and this year’s culinary offering will be complemented by INNSiDE Ibiza Beach’s in-house restaurant, La Chickeria in the Bay. Run by the creative culinary minds (aka, the ‘spitmasters’) behind the eponymous Santa Gertrudis rotisserie hotspot, it’s open daily between 12pm and 5.30pm. The extended Ibiza bar menu now features a tasty range of high-quality snacks and comfort food including the brand’s signature marinated chicken, grilled to perfection, mouth-watering baby back ribs in homemade BBQ sauce, healthy and hearty salads, plus delicious burgers to suit every taste (vegan too!). There’s also sharing dishes like nachos with guacamole, jalapeños and cheddar cheese; edamame hummus with veggie crudités; calamari rings with sweet chilli mayo, and everyone’s favourite Buffalo wings.

By day, the Ibiza bar’s infinity pool is a wellness hotspot, with yoga and Pilates classes designed to nourish body and soul, and a further option for specialist spin classes for more high-octane thrills. Then, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons during the first week of each month, a market showcasing the crafts of Ibiza’s finest artisans unfurls across the terrace at Rooftop Nine, so guests can shop for boho wares against a blue sky backdrop and stock up on souvenirs for the flight home.

There’s plenty to keep the musically minded busy too. Daytime pool sessions take guests on a sonic jaunt through house and disco, while on every second, third and fourth Friday of each month, the Ibiza bar plays host to local DJs selecting the very best Balearic beats as part of Islanders’ Takeover, where the tempo kicks up as the ticking clock approaches 11pm. Don’t miss The Little Disco, brought to Rooftop Nine by the UK’s uplifting disco party La Discotheque, which will host poolside and sunset sessions on 23 June and 14 July between 4pm and 11pm.
