Nestled into the north-eastern sands of Santa Eulalia Bay, Chiringuito Blue’s open-sided dining room stretches right along the shore. Nothing obstructs the view across the Mediterranean as sunshine streams over plush sofas and tables while a DJ plays low-key beats in time with the lapping of the waves. Proximity to the sea makes this Ibiza beach restaurant perfect for families, especially with its cool dedicated kids’ zone on weekends, and foodies alike.

Israeli master chef Haim Cohen curates Chiringuito Blue’s Mediterranean menu with a focus on local, organic Ibiza produce scattered with East Mediterranean delights. The kitchen dream team take diners on a journey of flavours, traversing faraway lands and local corners alike. There are no tricks at this unique beach restaurant; just pure flavours enhanced by lashings of herbs and spices. Starters such as warm chickpeas with homemade tahini, grated tomato and turmeric, and the Creamy soft Iberican Joselito Ham croquettes  are a must-try.

More star dishes at Chiringuito Blue include the signature Shakshuka, with two sunny-side-up eggs served in slow-cooked tomato stew served with pita bread and tahini, and the the flavour-filled soft shell crab with salsa verde and homemade zhug mayonnaise is just the thing to go with a handcrafted cocktail. The exotic ‘Yellowtail shawarma with roasted peppers, onions and lentils is worth travelling for, as is the unique charcoal cherry tomatoes, pesto and Stracciatella cheese salad. Quite simply, you’re spoilt for choice at this Ibiza beach restaurant.

Mains include pan-fried John Dory fillet with smoked butter, spinach, leek and beetroot, a char-grilled free-range chicken with sage for two, and grilled catch of the day. Pasta lovers will go for the mezzi paccheri with calamari and Sicilian cherry tomato. Vegetarians and vegans are well catered for at Chiringuito Blue, with a range of options taking diners on a journey of flavours around the world and the kids menu is equally pleasing for little ones.

Desserts are phenomenal and the Lebanese style baklava with hints of pistachio, cardamom and rose syrup is the undisputed favourite, closely rivalled by the piña colada tart and ice cream sandwich made with vegan chocolate ice cream and crumble. Chiringuito Blue’s handy kiosk also offers takeaway coffees, juices, healthy snacks and pastries to enjoy on the beach, and the restaurant also offers service to sunbeds in summer.

As part of the W Ibiza complex (situated behind the restaurant), service is naturally exceptional – the perfect match for this prestigious Santa Eulalia Bay location. Open for lunch and dinner, full moon nights and fortnightly Jueves Blue events with live music offer even more reasons to visit – and there’s handy valet parking too. One day (or night) in Chiringuito Blue is never enough.
