From long lunches and sunset sessions to decadent dinners and beyond, Cotton Beach Club has long been the destination du jour for islanders and jetsetters alike. Set on the crystal-sand shores of Cala Tarida, with the turquoise Med stretched out as far as the eye can see, there’s no finer Ibiza beach restaurant on the island’s stunning southwest coast.
The all-white surroundings at Cotton Beach Club are complemented with luxuriously chic wood furnishings, dusky pink accented soft furnishings and stylish sofas, the epitome of contemporary boho style. The breathtaking sea views and the heavenly beach below are like something from a postcard, making it one of the most Instagrammable beach restaurants in Ibiza.
And while the setting itself is well worth travelling to, it’s the cuisine at Cotton Beach Club that makes you return again and again. Globe-trotting head chef Federico Garcia showcases his international expertise via a menu of Mediterranean classics, fused with South American and Asiatic influences and ingredients. An extensive raw and sushi menu is also available, typical of the healthy, high-end cuisine the venue has been pioneering since its conception.
Start with oysters and caviar, then work your way through the menu, from Chalaca oysters – with a traditional Peruvan sauce – and two types of ceviche and tartare, to the finest Norwegian salmon, tuna or white fish sashimi and nigiri. Sushi rolls at Cotton Beach Club are creative and delicious – try the signature smoky cheese torched salmon ‘Cotton Roll’ or the Ibiza roll with soft shell crab – and there’s also an option to dine omakase style. That’s chef’s choice, based on the best catches of the day.
The rest of the Cotton Beach Club menu is packed full of flavour and flair, with starters ranging from slow-cooked and grilled octopus served with sweet potato puree and black garlic, to the super fresh Cotton Zakynthos Greek Salad (inspired by the Ibiza beach club‘s sister venue) and fresh scallops in a tangerine sauce with coconut and apple. Mains incude classic salt-baked seabass with Ibizan herbs, a Thai-inspired lobster and a savoury fried rice with prawns, plus there are mouthwatering curries (choose between chicken, fish, prawns, veggie or lobster) and a hearty sirloin and Angus beef burger among many other options.
With an open-air dining terrace dubbed the Grand Terrace, an indoor dining space called the Indoor Lounge and the Amphi Lounge, where you can take a cocktail and watch the sunset. The wine list is second to none, there’s WiFi and swish sunbed rentals with towels, the daily possibilities are endless including beach service. A dingy service for yachts in high season makes it ideal for those cruising the coastline – all you need to decide is exactly where in Cotton Beach Club you wish to savour the experience from!
