Ushering in a relaxed, laid-back vibe to the bustling east coast town of Santa Eulalia, UHLA by UM is a stylish Ibiza beach restaurant inspired by the stunning beaches of the Mediterranean. Guests are invited to indulge in the barefoot beauty of the location, while simultaneously revelling in fabulous food, spectacular views and an inspired but low-key soundtrack that effortlessly conjures that essential holiday mood. Eat, swim, repeat is the mantra practiced here – Ibiza summer in a nutshell.
Located at the end of the famous Santa Eulalia promenade, a path that weaves its away along the picturesque coastline, UHLA by UM is akin to the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Boasting unspoilt vistas of golden sands, sparkling seas and uniquely, the island’s only river, Rio de Santa Eulalia, this Ibiza beach restaurant is like an oasis sprawled across the golden sands. Spend the day chilling out atop luxurious sun loungers, whiling away the warm summer hours beneath a pretty parasol, or head to the sun-dappled restaurant, where meals are served in the shadow of palm trees, toes cooled in the sand.
Tuck into tasty sharing plates from the Spanish-inspired menu, including patatas bravas, chicken goujons or garlic octupus served with chilli, cognac, paprika and potato. Dive into plentiful salads and Buddha bowls bursting with goodness or try a traditional Spanish staple like paella or fideuá. A selection of pasta, meat and fish is also available at the Ibiza beach restaurant and guests simply mustn’t leave before sampling the innovative UHLA by UM cocktail list, featuring creations like the Kate Moss: limoncello, prosecco, passionfruit, vanilla vodka and mandarin, or the Singapore Crush: strawberries, Chambord, red berries gin, lemon and angostura bitters.
Meanwhile, tunes at UHLA by UM are carefully chosen by head curator Andreu Moyà aka Gurito, who weaves a magical spell on guests by interspersing Latin American folk and jungle-inspired sounds alongside Afrobeat, a genre born in Nigeria back in the 1960s. Brought to the island by Mallorca-based hospitality group, Umami Group (who are also behind nearby Ibiza restaurant K.OBA), UHLA by UM oscillates at a different frequency to anywhere else in Santa Eulalia. Turn up, tune in, switch off – what more could any discerning beach club lover ask for?
