A stunning renovation of an existing house harking back to Ibiza in the 1970s, Ibiza architect Antonio Huerta says the aim of this project was ‘to conserve as much of the romantic feeling of the old house as possible, but at the same time deliver the high standards of performance you’d expect from a new and modern home.’

One of the most striking features is that there is no limitation of an entrance or exit door – rather, the giant floor-to-ceiling windows of the living room can be completely opened to allow the living area to extend to the pool area where hammocks and daybeds await, yet in winter it can remain closed and get cosy with an open fire.

Much of the materials used in the building are rustic, such as ecological wood made with a mix of bamboo and natural resins and the natural stone walls were rebuilt and mixed with new ones in the same style for authenticity. By day, the property enjoys spectacular views, while by night, the modernity takes over, with stunning LED lighting creating its own relaxed ambience.
