When making the decision to split their time between London and Ibiza in 2011, Gray and Natalie Gillot were certain of one thing. That work wouldn’t take over their lives.
With careful planning, design and clever configuration of their beautiful San Agustin holiday home, the couple – founders of Amber Developments and Love Pilates & Massage respectively – have found the perfect balance here on the white isle.
The house is divided into two sections, with Natalie’s pilates and massage studio and Gray’s office space kept completely separate from their personal living area. Clients arrive through a rustic paved walkway, bordered with lavender – with one door leading into the studio and another into the office hallway – allowing privacy and security, with the convenience of not having to leave home to go to work!

Experienced massage therapist and Pilates instructor Natalie offers private lessons and massages are available on request. The sweet scent of essential oils permeates the air, a reminder of her skills – deep-tissue, clinical massages, sports and remedial massages are her specialties.

In the tranquil office space, project manager Gray can be found early in the mornings and in the late afternoons liaising with clients on architectural projects, home refurbishments, building contracts and much more. For the rest of the day, he is active onsite with his many high profile projects, which currently include a new Blakstad mountain villa in San Jose, the refurbishment of an old finca in San Miguel, design and project management of a stunning contemporary villa in Es Cubells and a high-end interior refurbishment in Santa Gertrudis plus the total architectural redesign and major extension of a stunning three-storey villa in Cala Llonga.

When the time comes to call it a day, the two retreat into their home via a sliding antique wooden door that accesses the kitchen, dining and lounge area. Much of the couple’s furniture was shipped from their previous home in London, conveniently also suiting the design of a stylish modern Ibiza home, while other pieces have been custom-made to fit into their respective areas.
A homely feeling is evoked on stepping inside the living space, where displays of beautiful artefacts, a feature wall of family photos (the couple also have two children) and a large, eclectic book collection add extra personality.
