Stroll beneath a canopy of bamboo, past watchful stone statues and make your way around the grand estate that is Bambuddha, where flushes of Ibiza luxe and an über cool crowd sit amidst ancient sexual artefacts and sultry, sumptuous furnishings. Lovingly created by owner John Moon in 1999, it’s a temple in which to host deluxe dinners and special occasions, starting with signature cocktails in the legendary Tantra Cocktail Palace.
Bambuddha is world-renowned for its delicious trademarked MediterrAsian menu, designed to be enjoyed sharing style. The restaurant’s conscious ethos means 90-percent of the vegetables used are grown on the island, while the very best organic meat and sustainably farmed fish make up many mouthwatering options.
Raw starters include Korean tuna tartare, Iberian beef carpaccio and yellowtail Yuzu Hamachi. For those who like it hot, locally-grown aubergine is caramelised with miso, a spicy beef salad is served Thai-style and the crispy squid and prawn salad is a fusion of sweet and sour. Delicious homemade Bao (crab or Wagyu beef served in Chinese bread), a selection of Dim Sum or Kushi skewers are the perfect bite-sized starter temptations.
For mains, choose between succulent delights such as slow-cooked pork Ssamjang, sticky spare ribs or Vietnamese fried chicken, or opt for the classic Alaskan black cod, wild Kowloon king crab or the five-spice lobster. A variety of lovingly made curries and expertly sliced, diced and rolled sushi complete the Bambuddha dinner experience… but besure to save room for the incredibly decadent desserts before slipping out into the Ibiza night.
