Summer heat = Raw Passion
Lana Love, founder, owner and passionate health ‘nut’ behind Passion Cafe and the all-new Passion Restaurante in Ibiza Marina says the most common excuse she hearsfrom people who aren’t keen on trying raw food is that it’s served cold.
Wrong! ‘Some dishes are cold, but raw food is generally served at room temperature, slightly warmed on a very low temperature stovetop or in the oven, or in a professional dehydrator,’ she explains. So given the intensity of the heat in Ibiza this summer, what better time to give raw food a chance?
‘Another bonus of raw vegan food is that it is totally organic (yay!), gluten free, dairy free, energy giving, bursting with flavours of fresh ingredients that haven’t been cooked, boiled, steamed or fried to death!’ Lana continues. Can you tell she’s passionate on the subject?
‘As for raw desserts, you’ll discover an extravaganza of nuts, seeds, raw cacao, dates, fruit, fresh coconut and superfoods galore – we still haven’t had a customer that didn’t like our raw desserts.’ Part of the Passion Ibiza ethos is to ‘spike’ your raw food dishes with super herbs, superfoods, medicinal mushrooms (yes, really) and more, along with the standard LOVE and PASSION that Lana is known for.
Looks good, tastes good, and above all… is good for you inside and out!
