Ibiza stylist, personal shopper and big fan of festival fashion Renu Kashyap of Styled by Renu says: “Ibiza offers so many different daytime parties, so you want to dress to impress, whether it’s dancing on the beach with your bare feet in the sand, in the VIP at Ushuaia or with the masses at DC10.” Check out her rules for daytime dancing…
DO: Stick to the rule ‘less is bore’ – mix and match colours, prints, feather, tie-dye and fringing to your heart’s content.
DON’T: Wear too many layers – the summer heat is quite challenging in Ibiza by day, especially if you’re busting shapes on the dance floor.
DO: Stand out from the clones on the dance floor in a fabulous feather headpiece.
DON’T: Let your feathers poke other unsuspecting clubbers in the eye! Be aware of your surroundings…
DO: Team your beach kaftan or kimono with shorter than short denim shorts – sexy, but subtly so.
DON’T: Flash too much flesh on the dance floor – trust me, you’ll thank me when you look back at photos in 10 years!
DO: Stack layers and layers of jewellery around your neck and arms.
DON’T: Wear your most valuable pieces to the party – stick to costume jewellery.
DO: Experiment with make-up – not just on your face, but cool metallic tattoos or henna art works on hands and arms too.
DON’T: Go too far and attempt body painting. Remember this is Ibiza in summer, you will be dancing, and it will melt!
