Ibiza weather

With over 300 days of sunshine a year, Ibiza is one of the best places to visit in the Mediterranean.

The summer season runs from mid-May to the end of September. The first beach days start in April, with perfect ‘English Summer’ days, in the mid-20s and cooler nights. This is a great time for families to visit – or those who burn easily! The temperatures rise to the late 20s in June, with clear sunny days and warm nights, as the opening fiestas kickstart the island into real summer action.

July and August are the hottest months, with temperatures rising into the mid-30s by the day, and rarely dropping below 25 at night – air con is essential, or a fan to help you sleep easy. August, the island’s busiest month, can often be quite humid – a tropical storm or big downpour isn’t unusual and brings some relief from the stifling heat. September arrives to open arms, with warm sunny days in the mid to late 20s once again and cooler evenings – take out a light jacket as you’ll be surprised just how ‘frio’ you can feel on your way home from a party at 6am!

October, or the beginning of autumn, brings with it some rainy, windy days and temperatures may drop as low as 17C (still much warmer than the UK!), though you’ll hear many Ibiza residents wax lyrical about how ‘October is the new September’, as recent years have seen the beautiful beach weather continue right up until Halloween.

Ibiza enjoys mild yet humid winters with average temperatures of around 15C from November to April. The temperature never drops below freezing, and on a sunny day, sheltered from the breeze, it’s possible to brace a t-shirt!
