Wedding photography by Annie Peel Photography. On a perfect early September day in 2011, with the Ibiza sunshine streaming down in all its golden, hazy glory, Helen and Guy tied the knot in the beautiful (and very photogenic!) little church in San Agusti. Right next door was a little bar with a pretty back garden, where an informal champagne reception took place while everyone calmed down from the emotion and excitement of the wedding!
While everyone squeezed into the shady space enjoying lovely cold glasses of bubbly, a guitarist played Spanish melodies before moving onto the perfect sunset reception spot, Cala Conte beach. Everyone sat at tables bedecked with white linen, on the huge terrace of the restaurant perched in the low, sandy cliffs, bathed in natural light.
Photographer Annie Peel says the atmosphere was wonderful, with all the couple’s friends and family getting along like a house on fire – the perfect smiling and laughing subjects in front of the lense. ‘I took the couple away from their dinner a few times to capture the changing light of the sunset,’ says Annie. ‘A the end we did a big group shot of everyone lined up along the horizon with a sunset sky behind them… and I can tell you now the party afterwards went with a swing!’
