DESTINO YOGA CLASSES
Hot YIN Yoga: In the new Yin Yoga classes at Destino Ibiza, students stimulate the joints, ligaments and connective muscle tissue through a series of deeply held postures. Unlike other styles of yoga that are muscular and dynamic – more Yang – Yin Yoga stretches the subtle layers of our bodies without using muscular strength, creating stillness, slowing down our breath and quieting the mind. The longer students stay in a pose, the more benefits they will receive from their Yin practice. Teacher: Malu.
Vinyasa Flow: Originating from the teachings of Sri. T. Krishnamacharya, Vinyasa Flow Yoga combines three classical styles: Ashtanga, Iyengar and Viniyoga. Now at Destino Ibiza, the classes synchronise dynamic movements with special conscious breathing techniques, Svadhyaha and self-reflection to connect mind and body and create a space for our natural potential and heart to blossom. It’s been said Vinyasa yoga is like a moving meditation led by our breath. Teacher: Malu.
SUP Yoga: Destino Ibiza presents a relatively new form of yoga, taking yogis out into nature, onto the sea, on top of a stand-up paddleboard! SUP Yoga not only strengthens and refines our equilibrium, it also activates deep muscular tissue, stretching and strengthening us from the inside out. In SUP Yoga, students practice a series of basic yoga postures, breathing exercises and meditation leading up to a final Savasana that leaves them floating in awareness… bliss. Teacher: Malu.
AERIAL yoga: Destino Ibiza pioneers a new form of Ibiza yoga, presenting the island’s first Aerial Yoga classes. Large silk hammocks support and elevate your body in traditional and creative new yoga poses, almost allowing you to fly and float on air, stimulating the lymphatic and nervous systems, while detoxifying the body. Students may find that postures that once seemed difficult, such as inversions, can easily be achieved and enjoyed with the support of a hammock. Depending on the circumstances, Aerial Yoga can be activating and strengthening or restorative and grounding. Teacher: Malu.
Hot detox flow: The new Hot Detox Flow Yoga class at Destino Ibiza is tailored to cleanse and purify the body. Expect a dynamic flow with delicious twists and binds in the heat, to release toxins and engage your circulation. All this is supported by Pranayama breathing exercises, cleansing kriyas and meditation. Teacher: Malu.
Kundalini yoga: This style of yoga is called the yoga of awareness and is considered the most comprehensive of all yoga traditions. Combining mediation, mantra, physical exercises and breathing techniques, with Kundalini Yoga students can build a healthy body and develop a balanced mind. Teacher: Trish Whelan.
Hatha Tantric yoga: A therapeutic practice that focuses on mental and physical alignment, plus self-healing through a deep, hatha-meets-Tantric yoga style, taught from the heart and tailored to suit the current phase of the moon with your personal needs. Teacher: Ayda Ellis.
JoGa Beats: Using music led classes to focus the mind by connecting the breath to the beat of the music into a rhythm similar to that of Vinyasa Flow with a twist, JoGa Beats was created from a fusion of instructor Jo Youle’s three passions in life: dance, music and yoga. Teacher: Jo Youle.
Nidra Yoga: A dynamic class that releases physical energy blockages through gentle postures and pranayamas. The class ends with a relaxation technique called yoga Nidra, associated with the tantric tradition.
