Live happily ever after – Six Senses Ibiza

Newly betrothed lovers of Ibiza will fall head over heels for the island’s most spectacular new wedding venue on the unspoilt majestic cliffs of Cala Xarraca.

Magical Mediterranean vistas, beautifully designed spaces, intuitive and exceptional service plus lovingly created cuisine set the scene for romance at Six Senses Ibiza, the island’s newest, most majestic wedding destination for 2022 and beyond.

When it comes to hosting weddings, size truly doesn’t matter to the team of talented in-house event planners at the spectacular new Six Senses Ibiza resort in the north of Ibiza. Whether your wedding is small and intimate or on a much grander scale, the amount of love, dedication and attention to detail put into the organisation of your event is simply second to none. The versatile Ibiza wedding venue is an unforgettable place to declare your love to one another, be that in front of a handful of your nearest and dearest or before up to 250 guests from all over the world. It’s the perfect place to start living happily ever after…

Six Senses Ibiza embodies all that love stands for – intimacy, romance, beauty and togetherness, all of which are combined with exquisite design and picturesque views. Perched above the secluded bay of Cala Xarraca, the tastefully designed resort melts seamlessly into the landscape as if it has been there for millennia, crafted with a sensitivity that connects guests to the deep beauty of Ibiza’s natural world. The Mediterranean Sea, sky and forest stretch out from every corner, providing a glorious day-to-night backdrop, especially at that magic moment when the sun sets into the sea and the stars start to sparkle high above. With a picture-perfect location like this, it’s no surprise the resort will be setting the scene for weddings in 2022 and beyond.

Six Senses Ibiza embodies all that love stands for – intimacy, romance, beauty and togetherness, all combined with exquisite design and picturesque views.

The blissful Balearic off-season is the perfect time for couples to make a reconnaissance trip to start planning the celebration of their wildest wedding dreams. Six Senses Ibiza remains open until January 10, 2022 (before taking a short hibernation until springtime), offering brides and grooms-to-be the perfect opportunity to experience everything the resort has to offer – from viewing the array of venue spaces and sampling the lovingly made cuisine to indulging in spa treatments and much more – while getting to know the team who will bring their dreams to life.

Masters of organisation, Six Senses Ibiza differentiate wedding planning into three phases – the ceremony, the reception and the fiesta. The intelligent design and layout of the resort means numerous spaces can be adapted to suit each stage of your celebration, not to mention customised and decorated to suit your style. For the ceremony, smaller parties (up to 20 people) may choose to exchange vows on the rustic and rugged rocks, where hand-woven rugs, scattered cushions, flickering lanterns and a fire pit evoke a luxuriously bohemian ambience. Lapping waves provide the soundtrack while the setting sun presents the best light show in the universe, connecting your affirmation of love with a spiritual ambience unlike any other in Ibiza.

Larger gatherings (up to 180 people) can ascend to The Rooftop Deck at Six Senses Ibiza for ceremonies steeped in dreamy romance. Shrouded by rugged pine forest on one side and open to the never-ending deep blue of the sea on the other, the stunning open-air space is kissed with both natural light and the soft Mediterranean breeze. Alternatively, capture the best of both worlds and stage your wedding in The Market Hall where sophistication combines with sweeping vistas to create breathtaking moments between the secret rooftop and refined main hall. Capacities vary depending on the configuration and style of your event and range from 80 people seated for a banquet and 200 guests standing for a cocktail reception.

Once you’ve exchanged vows, it’s onto the reception – time to eat, drink and be married! The tradition of toasting to the bride and groom as they take their first steps into married life is taken very seriously at Six Senses Ibiza, where the experienced mixologists have searched the island and the globe for the best botanical ingredients to design a bespoke cocktail – including non-alcoholic versions – for your nuptials. Similarly, the resort’s sommeliers are specialists in organic and biodynamic wines, making the Six Senses Ibiza cellar one of the most exciting on the island. These connoisseurs will help guide your choices so every flavour is impeccably matched.

Far from your average catering, the Six Senses Ibiza philosophy of drawing on organic, seasonal and local produce also extends to wedding menus.

Speaking of flavours, when it’s time to dine there’s no shortage of culinary inspiration at Six Senses Ibiza where the in-house philosophy of drawing on organic, seasonal and local produce from land and sea also extends to wedding menus. Each of the various restaurants, eateries and private spaces located within the resort can be used alone or in combination over the course of your event, with each venue boasting its own style of cuisine. HaSalon is ideal for laidback receptions (for up to 100 people) with long communal wooden tables positioned under grand olive trees strewn with sparkling fairy lights. Celebrated celebrity chef Eyal Shani – also known as the founding father of new-Israeli cuisine – has created a unique wedding banquet mezze utilising organic produce from the Six Senses Ibiza farm. This is not your average wedding catering!

Elsewhere in Six Senses IbizaThe Orchard is brimming with a diaphanous romance where the scent of citrus blossoms melds with the delectable essence of smoky barbecued grass-fed meats and local seafood. Here, the menu is as varied as your imagination – the events team can help design a bespoke menu (for up to 80 people seated and 160 standing) to suit your tastes – and the setting is nothing less than divine. Over by the coastline, The Beach Caves are chic reception rooms carved into the natural curve of the bedrock offering a unique waterfront experience. Low lounges and armchairs, high ceilings and decks reaching out over the sea create a wedding reception like no other, with Spanish pintxos and sushi keeping your guests fuelled up for the night of dancing ahead. The Live Cave can be connected to either or both Twin Bars where the vibe is a mix of 1920s speakeasy and contemporary chic – opt for intimacy or a free-flowing vibe that suits your tribe.

Once appetites are sated, it’s all about the fiesta at Six Senses Ibiza and choosing between poolside, rooftop or the Live Cave is almost as hard as choosing the perfect dress. Music lovers will find it hard to bypass the avant-garde McIntosh and Sonus faber technology sound system in the Live Cave, where you can immerse yourself in beats as a blanket of stars light up the sky outside. And for those who require a respite from the cacophony of celebration, the Secret Bar awaits. Private, intimate and secluded, this erudite bar is stocked with the world’s best whiskies, cognacs and Cuban cigars. Alternatively ask the mixologists for a healthy tonic, tincture or bedtime elixir – your wish is their command.

An invitation to attend a wedding at Six Senses Ibiza gives your guests the opportunity to RSVP to love, happiness and the authentic Ibiza spirit. The resort’s idyllic 116 rooms, suites and beachfront caves can provide the perfect home away from home for the wedding party and guests for the duration of the event, and even into the honeymoon for the happy couple. The iconic Six Senses Spa Ibiza is the ideal setting for pre-wedding pampering and post-celebration relaxation alike, while the incredible Agora boutique is the perfect place to style yourself with a suitably festive ensemble for any occasion. Wedded bliss doesn’t get any better than this… until you return home and live happily ever after, of course.
